I think it is now our
consensus that club re-invigoration, re-activation and revival are our most
important tasks. The following six requirements, when carried out
appropriately, will ensure the enhanced strength of our clubs. Strong
clubs are the roots of our Lions Organizations, and are the homes of
satisfied and expanding membership. I will summarize these
requirements as follows:
- To hold at least one meaningful service project
each year for the benefit of the community. In its operation, a
committee must be formed to maximize membership participation. To
see that the needy and less fortunate benefit from service efforts will
provide a rewarding experience and personal fulfillment for members.
At the same time, it will generate fun and fellowship in carrying out such
meaningful activities together through interaction.
¡@
- To conduct good quality work including Lions
administration and service projects. It will give confidence to
members that their efforts will achieve desired goals.
¡@
- To have continuous leadership training and
membership orientation, so as to enhance members' bonding with each other
as well as their ability and expertise to serve with increased efficiency
and effectiveness.
¡@
- To hold well conducted meetings at all times.
To follow meeting agenda and to adjourn without delay. To have fun
and fellowship and team spirit, so that members will enjoy Lions
activities and consider that their time spent is worthwhile. Add
interesting tail twisting and provide informative speakers to meetings
will increase members' interest to attend.
¡@
- To promote good public relations, both internal
and external to acquire maximum community and membership support.
The above public relations efforts include publicizing services and
donations made to community organizations.
¡@
- To recognize deserving members with appropriate
awards from time to time to enhance membership morale.
