ZC Ray was inducted into Squamish Lions Clubs in 1999, and has been a very active Lion ever since.  With 100% Attendance every year, he has already been Zone Chairman twice and was District Governor in 2005-06.  He has received two club Lion of the Year awards, four club Exceptional Leadership and Dedicated Service awards, and many other certificates of recognition from both the District and MD19.  A Melvin Jones fellow and Judge Brian Stevenson Progressive Fellow.  ZC Ray is also a Certified Guiding Lion, a Certified Facilitator, and a graduate of the Northwest Lions Leadership Institute in Lake Oswego, Oregon.  ZC Ray is the Conference Chair for the 19A 2008 Spring Conference.  In May 2007, he was elected as the 2008-2010 BC/Yukon Provincial Director for the Lions Foundation of Canada.
