Notes from last Zone Meeting on March, 2008
　

ZC Hugh was born in Vancouver and moved to Smithers in 1971 where he joined his first Lions club, the Smithers Lions Club, 19A4. A few years later he transferred to Terrace Centennial Lions where he was Secretary/Treasurer and President for a number of years.

In 1977-78 he was Zone Chairman for 19A4 under DG Dick Pierce. He became a member of the Terrace Downtown Lions when the Terrace Centennial Club merged with the Downtown club. In 2005, he moved to the Sunshine Coast and resides in Madeira Park (Pender Harbour) along with his family; his wife Bella and his three sons - Carlos, a Lion since 2004, Mark and Nigel. ZC Hugh and Lion Carlos are active members of the Sunshine Coast Lions Club. Now semi-retired, ZC Hugh runs a chartered accountant practice our of his home. After some convincing, Lion Hugh agreed to be Zone Chairman for 2007-08, and is looking forward to working with the five clubs in his zone.
