Zone Chairperson Eric has lived his entire life in the Queen Charlottes, except for the first few days...his mother had to travel by boat to the hospital in Prince Rupert for his birth, and a return boat only came every couple of weeks. Over the years, he's worked in fishing and logging, and then in 1953 opened his own school bus and taxi business, and kept busy at that for 40 years. It has been nearly 40 years since ZC Eric became a charter member of the Skidegate Inlet Lions Club, and has been very involved over that time. He served as Club President, and in most other positions, although he says "I managed to avoid ever being Club Secretary or Treasurer!" He is a
Melvin Jones Fellow, a Life Member of Lions International, and served as
Zone Chairman previously in 1993-94. |
